Clinical Observation of Electrical Injury

Abstract
Electrical trauma, both burns and electrocution, has been of recent interest only to the medical community. The first victim of industrial electricity was reported in 1879 in Lyon, France (Sturin, 1971).
The incidence of electrical injuries has significantly increased, an understanding is basic to intelligent care of patient¢¥s surviving the initial electrical result. Authors have 25 cases of electrical injury who were admitted to our plastic de partment of C. A. F. G. H. from July 1975 to June 1978. The results were following.
1) Wounds of entrance and exit of electrical current were both palmes and soles mainly.
2) Excision of necrotic tissues were performed with multiple staged because of not be apparent the depth and extent of electrical injury.
3) Amputation of dead extremity was done on 2nd staged debridement and their numbers were 10 cases.
4) Split-thickness skin graft was done between 18th and 26th day after injury.
5) Joint disability was reconstructed with delayed tubed pedicle flaps and rotation flaps from abdomen and thigh after 3 Cr 6 months of injury.
